第1041节 - 防御抵抗智能码头计划权限的编纂和修订
本节将消除对国防部可在任何财政年度管理的传染图检查数量的现有限制。Under the current program established in section 1121 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Years 1988 and 1989 (P.L. 100-180) and amended in section 1073(d)(5) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1998 (P.L. 105-85), no more than 5,000 polygraph examinations may be conducted per fiscal year. Section 1041 would expand the categories of individuals who may be required to undergo polygraph examinations. These two categories include persons who are applying for positions within the Department and persons who are assigned or detailed to the Department. This section would also instruct the Secretary of Defense to institute a process to monitor responsible and effective application of polygraphs within the Department of Defense. In lieu of the existing reporting requirement, this section would require the Secretary to make information on the use of polygraphs available to the congressional defense committees.
